Well, every spare moment of my life since 1999 that is, which is when my first Volvo, the venerable 850, entered my life.

The more involved I became in restoring Volvos (some might say rescuing then), the more I discovered that not only were Volvo parts hard to find, they were darned expensive to buy!

 

I haunted every Volvo used parts dealer within 500 miles of my home, and still couldn’t find a reliable one-stop shop that always had everything I needed in stock and at a price I could afford. Searching the Internet didn’t yield any better results.

 

So methodically, one-at-a-time, I began compiling a list of every Volvo used parts dealer in the country, along with the parts they usually could be depended upon to stock, and their prices.

 

The list grew and so did my reputation as the word spread among Volvo owners and used parts dealers about the “Volvo Guy” in Michigan who could help you find anything you needed for your Volvo.

 

They came, they called, they wrote letters and email. I loved it; I hated it; I had an epiphany!
